Night of Bridges

17 Jun 1946 - Night of Bridges - Palmach forces blow up ten bridges connecting Palestine with neighboring countries as part of its campaign of resistance against the British. British reaction climaxed on June 29 (known as Black Sabbath) with a massive operation resulting in the confiscation of numerous weapons and documents, and the arrest of major figures in the Yishuv.
